Gonamena

by Simon Parker

Gonamena is the story of a Cornish moorland community and the enormous changes it experiences during the 19th century copper and tin mining boom. It is told from the viewpoint of the members of one family and their individual responses to change, upheaval and leaving. It also draws a parallel with the great challenges facing Cornwall today.

The play was staged, using a community cast, at Sterts Theatre at Upton Cross during the summer of 2009.
